The impact of the covid 19 pandemic has had severe and unprecedented implications for many people. I am try to use this period of time positively to begin a new series. ‘Hope Dawns’, Pieces created during this unique time in our history designed to celebrate the positivity and strength of humanity during a crisis. Images and release date to come, please check Instagram @charlotteelizabethfineart for more up to date information.
Circumstances permitting I hope to be back in Hong Kong and Singapore for the Affordable Art and Boutique Fairs later this year.
Now my circumstances have returned me to the Uk , I see with fresh eyes this once familiar landscape. In my series ‘Home’ each painting has become an emotional responses in colour and form. My new pieces are individual dedications to the mythology, lore and history of the British countryside, in particular, southwest of England, a place long associated with almost magical light and colours. My paintings are like stories, each one telling a tale, from the mischievous Pixies of Dartmoor to the dramatic copper mines on the edge of the cliffs, buffeted by rolling waves, this place speaks to me of magic and mystery but imbued with an essential sense of peace.
We hope to exhibit this series in the Mayne Gallery Kingsbridge with a solo show in July 2020.
